Dear Friends,
I’m off to Vancouver, B.C., for a week to do some work there. Just wanted to leave a quick note to let you know that I will not be back in the studio until September 3rd.
I will not be checking my email account, so if you need to get a hold of me, please feel free to call or text my cell phone: (204)298-3409 and I’ll make sure to return your call as soon as I can.
Have a great couple of weeks, everyone!
Talk to you soon,
Twinkle.
Plans were set for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, against the backdrop of Fort Whyte Alive. Unfortunately, as has been the case for most of our summer here in Winnipeg, Mother Nature did not cooperate and it rained hard for most of the evening.
Quick to improvise, Ray and Catherine moved their ceremony indoors. Surrounded by family and friends who were not able to travel to Vancouver, B.C., for their wedding, they exchanged vows and sipped lavender tea.
Luckily, we were given a 10 minute window between showers which allowed us to capture some beautiful moments set in the park.
Congratulations, Ray and Catherine! It was an honour to witness your exchange of vows. All the very best to you both!

It was a special delight being chosen by Bahandi and Maureen as the photographer for their wedding. Not only are they an attractive and outgoing couple, but together they represent a new generation of young leaders coming out of the Filipino community.
After a wonderful wedding ceremony at St. Peter’s Church on Keewatin, the couple and wedding party had an outstanding photo shoot at various indoor Winnipeg locations. We found a way to give the couple some “blue skies” even during the worst weather.
A reception at the Delta Winnipeg was to follow and it was non-stop action. A special instrumental ensemble performed by Bahandi’s brother, Saad, along with the couple’s son, Ebony, kicked off an evening of music and dance.
Bahandi and Maureen met as dancers for the Filipino dance group, Kayumanggi, and they wanted to honor that part of their lives and culture by performing a number of traditional folk dances during their reception. They also received a video thank-you from a community in the Philippines that Bahandi and Maureen have supported through their work with Gawad Kalinga building low cost, high quality homes for impoverished communities.
Congratulations Bahandi and Maureen and thank you for having us as part of your celebration!

As a wedding photographer, I have the opportunity to participate in one of the most important moments in a couple’s life. Sometimes this wonderful opportunity is made that much sweeter by watching individuals who have overcome significant challenges to take this happy step.
Mary Grace was known very early in life as Manitoba’s miracle baby. She was a preemie, born weighing only 1 lb, and one foot tall. These early challenges were reflected upon in her Father’s very moving speech at the reception where he talked about how she has blossomed into a strong, successful woman who’s found the true love of her life in Victor.
Victor and Mary Grace had a very beautiful, and unforgettable wedding day. We wish them all the best into the future!
It’s become the trend to show some photos before the actual web gallery has been posted, so below I’ve included some of my favourite images from the day. If you are family or friends of the couple, CLICK HERE to be notified when all of their pictures are ready for viewing.

I photographed this gorgeous couple for the first time in early June. But because we were in the process of updating our blog, I decided to hold off on posting their engagement photos until I could feature them here.
A few weeks after I shot this engagement session, I had the privilege of shooting John and Melanie’s wedding (photos to follow).

Sean and I celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary earlier this year and along with many special greetings and gifts from loved ones, I recently received a very heart warming email message from my dear friends, Ray and Catherine. I thought I would spread some sweetness and share it with you -
Hey Twinkle,
We are so glad that you and Sean are able to attend our wedding celebration. Thank you so much for taking our photos. It means so much to us because you know us well and you will be able to capture that extra special love vibe…
By the way, my something blue for our Vancouver wedding celebration is the garter that Ray caught at YOUR wedding! So awesome!
Much love,
Catherine + Ray xo
Much love in return, Ray and Catherine. Can’t wait to see you guys!
It was truly wonderful to experience the various events and ceremonies that made up the wedding celebration of Rishi and Neeran, including: 2 separate Ladies’ Sangeet Parties, Menhdi, Sikh Ceremony, Hindu Ceremony, and the wedding reception.

If George and Christine look a little familiar, it’s because they also appear on the opening gallery of our website. They came to see us over a year ago to have family portraits taken with their then new-born son, Logan.
In September, George and Christine will be “tying the knot” and Logan will be WALKING down the aisle with them as the ring bearer.
