Marilyn and Marcel brought their beautiful family on their engagement session to the park where the two first dated.
Van Wallenghem Park is tucked in behind Shoreline Drive in Lindenwoods. The park provided a wonderful autumn backdrop of leaves, bridges and Canadian geese for Marilyn, Marcel, Christa and Christian to share in special family moments along the road towards their 2009 Winter Wedding.
Congratulations on your engagement, Marilyn and Marcel. We’re excited to work with you and your family again soon!
Whether we are with our couples for a full 10-hour day or for a 3-hour celebration, we always strive to thoroughly capture the important parts of each event.
Michelle and Jeff planned a well-coordinated wedding day celebration at the Fort Garry Hotel. We shot for a total of three hours and captured the bride getting ready, the ceremony (presided over by Colleen Olafson), formal portraits in-and-around the hotel, as well as the very start of their reception.
Congratulations Michelle and Jeff! It was an honour to be a part of your special day. All the very best to you both!

If you have never had the opportunity to visit Manitoba’s Interlake Region, we highly recommend it. It is one of the prettiest fall locations in our province. Rachelle and Arlen asked to have their engagement session close to home in Riverton, Manitoba, and we were happy to accommodate. The village of Riverton has a similar history to other Interlake communities having been settled by Icelanders on the former site of Aboriginal hunting grounds.
The sky threatened rain all day, but we chanced it and journeyed towards Riverton last Sunday for this late afternoon shoot. Road construction had us detouring along highway 222 where we were better able to experience the area, layered in its beautiful fall colours.
While the day was chilly, it didn’t affect the couple’s enthusiasm. These two are exceptionally genuine and their affection for each other really shows through.
Our return to Riverton for their wedding next summer is sure to be one of the highlights of the season!
Gyan and Liezel brought us back to the more familiar setting of St. Ignatius Parish for a traditional Filipino wedding. The couple had a beautiful ceremony, followed by pictures at the Legislative grounds and the Fort Garry Hotel.
The Fort Garry Hotel always provides inspiration for photos, particularly when you have such a great looking couple.
Congratulations Gyan & Liezel! It was a real pleasure to be part of your big day, and we wish you many many happy years together!

When we have a consultation with our clients about their engagement session, we recommend that they use the opportunity to have images taken someplace that has special meaning for them and one where we may not be able to use during their wedding day.
Myra and Mike took that suggestion to heart and made arrangements for us to shoot at Alive in the District where the two first met. The shoot went extremely well, with both Myra and Mike looking great!
They are two of the nicest people we have had the pleasure to meet and work with. We are really looking forward to shooting their wedding next spring!
