Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing the Beach family. From pregnancy pictures to our most recent shoot, Andrew, Alyssa and Harrison are always a wonderful family to work with.
Harrison, in particular, is a real pleasure to be around. We convinced him to pose for a few portraits, but after that he was in constant motion for the rest of our time together. This year, he brought his camera so that he could shoot a few pictures of me…
How cute is that!!!

Back in August, I posted photos from John and Melanie’s engagement session and promised to post a few of my favourite shots from their wedding.
The weather that day was damp and chilly, so after the ceremony the wedding party traveled together for their shoot at the Via Rail Train Station. We followed it up with the couple-shoot at the Legislative Building.
What a privilege it was to be a part of this couple’s day. They’re gorgeous together, and the wedding party was so much fun!

It’s hard to believe that November is here already. What a whirlwind couple of weeks it’s been here at the studio!
This time of the year has us working day and night at trying to fulfill all of our album and product orders before the Christmas deadlines. Not to mention that we’re still pretty busy shooting – weddings, engagement sessions, family portraits, maternity sessions, and even a few corporate profile/headshots.
It’s a lot of work, but well worth the effort! We’re very proud about the end result – every book and every product is unique to each client.
And just when the stress of the season starts to weigh heavy – a special kind of client sweetens the load. Last Friday I met with one of our recent brides, Rachel (of Rachel and Bobby), to deliver some of her after-products. What a surprise it was when she handed me a white box with a pretty green ribbon and said, “This is for you and your family. Thank you for putting up with all of my phone calls and email messages. Make sure Mark gets one because you didn’t let him eat the cookie from our wedding”.
The story behind the cookie from her wedding is that it was a party favour, with our names on it. Those of you that know me, also know that I hold a special place in my heart and in my studio for all of the thoughtful party favours, thank you cards, and letters that we receive from the events that we shoot.
I opened the box and in it, there were 4 of the cutest cupcakes and they sure were yummy! A great big hug and thank you again to Rachel and Bobby for your thoughtful gift. Of course I took a picture of them!

Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend. I’ll be posting more of our work soon, so please keep in touch!
